Tippin’ Jimmy gives us his three best bets for Saturday!

1:15 Newbury – Sam Gold (9/2)
Roger Varian’s Sam Gold has apparently been working at home like a superstar, and in this competitive maiden contest he may progress into a top two-year-old. He finished seventh at Sandown on debut, but that effort was encouraging and he will improve for the effort. He’s bred well and has a bright future ahead.

2:50 Newbury – Lansky (15/2)
I have tipped quite a few of Jeremy Noseda’s juvenile runners this season, and this is one I think is really good. He made such a great debut when winning well at Windsor, before finishing third in the Acomb at York. That was only his second start and he will improve from that run. The step down to six may benefit him too.

4:20 Newmarket – Noble Star (6/1)
James Fanshawe and Tom Queally team up with Noble Star, a prospect who should win races this season. His maiden win was very impressive to cap off last season, and he made an encouraging seasonal return when third at Kempton. He should improve a lot from that run, and unchanged by the handicapper he could register a second win.
