Tippin' Jimmy talks us through his best bets of the day.

1:10 Ffos Las - Apollo Creed (11/10)
Evan Williams has a nice novice for the season in Apollo Creed, who is searching for his maiden victory this afternoon. He will love the wet ground and will be a lot better over today's longer trip. He has a fair bit of improvement left in, and expectations are high that he will be winning today.

1:20 Catterick - Espoir De Teilee (5/6)
I am really looking forward to seeing this horse make his hurdling debut this afternoon for Neil Mulholland. He won a very good bumper at Ffos Las last time out, and just really looked like a smart horse in the making. He has the profile to improve a lot over hurdles and could be a very good novice for the season.

2:40 Ascot - Kilcrea Vale (9/4)
Another well-regarded prospect for Nicky Henderson's yard is Kilcrea Vale, a horse that has been crying out for a longer trip which he finally gets at Ascot. He should like the conditions and may be one worth following for the season.

3:00 Catterick - Divine Spear (10/11)
Nicky Henderson has been in good form this season and the long journey should pay off for Divine Spear at Catterick this afternoon. He ran some good races as a hurdler in competitive contests, but chasing has always been the long-term target. He goes well fresh and can be highly competitive here. He could be a classy prospect to watch.

4:00 Ffos Las - Al Dancer (6/4)
Christian Williams has a smart team this year and he could have another winner in waiting in his hands with Al Dancer. The four-year-old ran nicely when a narrow loser on debut, against a horse who has won again since. The form works well, he will act on the ground, and can run very well.
