Monday's Best Bets: Bond can claim Victory

Tippin' Jimmy hipes to start the week off with winners.

1:15 Fontwell - Miss Molly Mae
After a really encouraging stable debut for Neil Mulholland Miss Molly Mae is handed a good opportunity to get off the mark at Fontwell. She travelled very well in a competitive race at Aintree but faded late on in the race and deserves to be given another chance here. Over hurdles she will improve.

5:15 Wolverhampton - Cliffs Of Capri
Jamie Osbourne really likes this horse and he should progress even further for this test. He has to carry a big weight here but he is a very nice type who is certainly better than his current mark suggests. I expect him to take a lot of beating here.

6:45 Wolverhampton - Victory Bond
I have spoken to William Haggas a few times about this horse, and from what he does at home he thinks he could be group class. He sets a very high standard of form and should be able to strike in this conditions event. He acts on the surface and should run a fine race.

Sunday's Best Bets: Brook can break his run of seconds

Tippin' Jimmy has a trio of selections for this afternoon.

12:30 Plumpton - Marley Firth
After a very pleasing fourth place effort in Grade Two company last time, Dan Skelton's charge is primed for this weaker contest. He will handle these conditions and on form is the one to beat by a long way. He should be able to slug the victory home.

2:05 Plumpton - Cafe Au Lait
After a encouraging third place finish on return, big thinks are expected of Dan Skelton's runner. He should improve from his inital outing and a better run is expected here.

3:10 Plumpton - Bramble Brook
Colin Tizzard rates this horse very highly and after a string of placed efforts he deserves to go one better. He will relish the conditions and although he carries a big weight he can run a big race here.

Saturday's Best Bets: Straight can be Right there

Tippin' Jimmy enjoyed another profitable day yesterday and hopes to build on his winnings today,

1:40 Wincanton - Cucklington
The Tizzards are in good form and this one should be able to continue his impressive winning record here. He was denied a hat-trick last time, where the track wasn't to suit him and the quality of the race was much better. He carries top weight but should be fine with it, he is still on a workable mark and can continue to run well here.

1:50 Sandown - Overtown Express
Harry Fry will be expecting a big performance from Overtowen Express who fell when about to win at Exeter on his last outing. Although that was only a two runner contest, there should be a lot more to come from him here and conditions should be fine. I expect him to run well in this competitive contest.

2:20 Lingfield - Straight Right
My NAP yesterday was from the Andrew Balding yard, just like this horse. He shaped very well when fourth last time on the all-weather considering how poorly he started the race. With a better break he deserves to be thereabouts at the end.

Friday's Best Bets: A yes for Erinyes

Tippin' Jimmy gives us a trio of tips for this afternoon's racing.

2:05 Southwell - Aiya
Andrew Balding has really high hopes for this horse who has shaped well in three outings so far. He is still a maiden, but goes into this handicap with a very strong chance. Reports from home say he has improved a lot since his fourth place finish in November, and he has an impressive pedigree. He should be much better than these.

2:40 Southwell - Ghaseedah
Despite an impressive five length winner here a month ago, Ghaseedah is still rated 67 and can continue to improve for today's handicap test. He looked very smart that day and is clearly much better than the handicapper thinks. He is well bred and can continue to improve this afternoon.

7:45 Kempton - Erinyes
I like Archie Watson a lot and I really hope Erinyes can show what she is capable of tonight at Kempton. She won really well in July at this track before decent attempts in three runs since. There were reasons for her defeat then, and she remains very well handicapped here. There is much more to come from her.

Thursday's Best Bets: Fire can burn them off at Newcastle

Tippin' Jimmy gives us his trio of bets ahead of the day's racing.

2:40 Newcastle - Winds Of Fire
Godolphin are strongly represented at Newcastle this afternoon with Winds Of Fire, who is seeking his first victory this afternoon. He finished third last time and wasn't defeated by much that day. He can continue to improve for this test and is well regarded to pick up some good prize money over the winter for Charlie Appleby.

3:55 Bangor - Burns Cross
Neil Mulholland likes this horse a fair bit, and although he is a big chasing type he can do well in today's bumper assignment. The track and ground should suit him well but the only doubt is whether he can be quick enough today. He remains a classy type and can be one to follow.

4:20 Newcastle - Limoncino
A well regarded type who hasn't yet delivered is Limoncino for Michael Dods. The three-year-old finished third on two visits to Newcastle before a fourth place finish at Southwell last time out. He has been dropped 5lb but could still play a leading role here.

Wednesday's Best Bets: Detonate your winnings

Tippin' Jimmy gives us his best three bets from today's racing.

1:00 Musselburgh - Kelpies Myth
Lucinda Russell likes this horse a lot and he may have enough quality to win this race. He won a good bumper and shaped well when third here and can continue to improve here.

2:20 Ludlow - Copain De Classe
I like this Paul Nicholls horse and think he will shape into a great chasing type over time. He finished third on his debut over fences and will come on a lot for that run.

3:30 Musselburgh - Detonate
This is a very weak race, and this French import may have enough to do well here. He finished fourth in France last August, and the three that finished in front have won since. He remains smart and can win more races.

Tuesday's Best Bets: Get on the Buss

Tippin' Jimmy talks us through the card up at Ayr.

12:30 Ayr- Blunder Buss
Chris Grant's novice sets a very high standard in this weak maiden hurdle event. He has placed a few times and has the best form here. He should handle conditions and is expected to go well.

2:40 Ayr- Elusive Theatre
Travelling over from Ireland is Elusive Theatre seeking to strike for the fourth time in his career. He will love the ground, carries a nice low weight and is well handicapped.

3:10 Ayr - Las Tunas
Another who will relish today's testing conditions is Las Tunas. He made a promising return at Catterick and should improve for the run.

New Year's Day: Sutton the Place to be

Embed from Getty Images
Tippin' Jimmy hopes to start the New Year with a win.

2:40 Fairyhouse - Sutton Place
Gordon Elliott should be expecting a winner with Sutton Place, who was a very promising hurdler making his first start over fences. The conditions will be ideal for him and should be winning this calibre of race this afternoon.

3:00 Exeter - Report To Base
With only three runners in the race, Evan Williams should take it this afternoon. His six-year-old sets a very high standard and may prove very difficult to beat today. He is the one to beat on ratings and should take this convincingly.
