Tippin' Jimmy has his selections across Friday's card.
4:45 Newmarket – Being There (2/1)
Charlie Appleby should pick up the maiden contest as he runs
the top two in the betting, but no-one stands out like Being There. A son of a
French 1000 Guineas winner, he ran a fine race on debut when second at Newbury.
He needed an extra furlong, and the experience which both play to his strengths
today. There are some appealing newcomers, but if he can progress he should
win.
6:15 Chepstow - Listen Alexander (9/4)
This nice prospect for David Evans may now strike on the
fourth attempt of striking, he chased home Out Of The Flames at Windsor who has
gone on to finish third at Royal Ascot. Then he went into French listed company
and ran respectively, he gets some weight allowance, and should be up to this.
8:05 Navan – Duplication (7/1)
An unexposed Irish prospect who I do feel can progress
throughout the season. This is his first run back, and he does carry a big
weight, but I think he may have the quality. He won his maiden in good style,
before losing out to the horse he beat the next time out. If he’s improved from
last season he may be the one they have to beat.
