Monday's Best Bets: Vince can be King at Plumpton

Tippin’ Jimmy is hoping to start the week off with a win, as he picks out his four best bets from Monday’s racing.

1:40 Plumpton – King Vince (11/2)
I’ve been watching this horse for some time and I am really looking forward to see him make his hurdling debut this afternoon. He’s won his last two starts in bumpers, and seemed like a smart horse in the making for Jamie Snowden. This is a nice starting point, and I am expecting him to go well.

2:10 Plumpton – Roksana (11/10)
My best bet of the day comes from Dan Skelton’s Warwickshire yard, where Roksana can make a winning start at Plumpton this afternoon. She ran very well on her first run over hurdles when third at Chepstow, losing out to a good pair of mares. This contest is much weaker and she won’t have to do too much more to be winning here today.

2:50 Kempton – Best Of Days (5/2)
Hugo Palmer thinks really highly of Best Of Days who has failed to live up to expectations this season. He was last seen finishing third in a very strong listed contest at Newmarket, and wasn’t far off some good rivals. The switch to all-weather should help out, and he can go back to winning ways in this contest.

4:00 Southwell – Barley Hill (3/1)
Ben Pauling thinks quite highly of his debutant today, and he could be the one to back in a race full of newcomers. He is pretty well bred and reports from home are all very encouraging. It’s always hard to back a horse that has never seen a racecourse before, but should have a good chance of making a winning start.
