Friday's Best Bets: It could be the 'Day' for Judgement

Tippin' Jimmy has some strong fancies on Friday

12:20 Newbury - Simply The Betts (3/1)
Harry Whittingdon has very high hopes that Simply The Betts can win plenty of races as a novice hurdler last season, and he looks set to be on a very nice mark for this race today. He won very well on his debut and should improve from that outing. He will win his fair share of races this season.

12:45 Limerick - Judgement Day (6/5)
Henry De Bromhead has just found a few too good when saddling Judgement Day but that shouldn't be the case for this afternoon. The five-year-old was third last time out but he should continue progressing here and could take all the beating

1:15 Limerick - Sympa Des Flos (5/4)
The Rich Ricci colours are always a very good sign for whether a horse could be special, and Sympa Des Flos is one that is surely good enough to win a maiden hurdle. He is a very nice prospect having finished a runner-up on his debut in France. He has finished second when sent off a favourite since, but the jockey who knows him best is in the saddle and there should be a win in him soon.

1:20 Newbury - Chef Des Obeaux (11/4)
After a promising bumper second here in March, I am expecting Chef Des Obeaux to prove a very nice type over hurdles this year for Nicky Henderson. The form of that bumper was quite good, and he acted on soft that day too. He should be capable of running a big race here.

3:10 Doncaster - Delirious Love (16/1) ew
Graeme McPherson thinks awfully highly of this one and he makes his debut this afternoon. He is a big price, but this isn't the strongest of races and he should be one that can make an impact sooner rather than later.

3:35 Newbury - Forza Milan (6/1)
Forza Milan remains on a pretty useful mark for Jonjo O'Neill and I can see him winning off it before too long. He ran excellent when second behind a well fancied horse at Aintree last time out, and despite going up 6lb he should go well again. He is from a great family and should have a lot more improvement to come this year.
