Friday's Best Bets: A winning day for Bathsheba Bay

Tippin' Jimmy gives us his best selections on Friday.

1:40 Sandown - Zalshah (11/2)
This a horse with a win in him, and after seven attempts today could be that day. He ran well in a race at Lingfield on soft ground earlier this month, but didn't run his race when a favourite at Chelmsford last time out. He may be up to continuing his improvement here.

2:20 Thirsk - Exhort (6/5)
I tipped this horse to win last time, and he delivered very well. I really like Exhort, and I think he is up to winning again in novice company at Thirsk this afternoon. His victory was very strong, and connections could've gone and put him in group level. He's one with a future and he should be up to this. Ann Without An E is clearly a danger.

3:20 Sandown - Bathsheba Bay (7/4)
I know Richard Hannon has a lot of time for this horse, and frankly I would surprised if he was beaten today. He finished second at Sandown by the smallest of margins, before finding only De Ex Bee too good at Goodwood on less than ideal ground. He should win this fairly easily, if he brings his best form to the table.

4:25 Sandown - Twilight Spirit (17/2)
One nicely bred maiden, who looks to be on a competitive mark in this handicap is Twilight Spirit for Tony Carroll. He has adapted quite nicely to handicaps, and ran well off this mark on his penultimate start. He still needs to improve a bit, but this looks a good race for him and he should be able to go well.
