Tippin’ Jimmy hopes to start your weekend off with a win, as we have four tips from Monday’s racing.
1:40 Yarmouth – Fakhoor (7/10)
Fakhoor is the type of horse that will continue to progress for Owen Burrows. The two-year-old finished second on his debut losing to a worthy favourite, who had the benefit of experience. Like most for his age he will improve for the run, and he should be up to winning here.
2:00 Windsor – Global Exceed (11/4)
Ed Dunlop is exceptional at getting the very best out of his horses, and this is an example of one flying up the ratings. He won well at Lingfield last month, before running well at Chepstow under a penalty finishing second. He is now 10lb higher than before those two runs but there may still be a bit more to come from him.
4:00 Windsor – Zeelander (6/5)
Roger Varian’s Zeelander now goes handicapping, after a series of good efforts in maiden company. He ran some strong races, but has plenty of potential and can win off this opening mark of 68. He’s a horse that we haven’t seen the very best of, and will be suited to running at this point in the season. The conditions should be fine, he can break his maiden here this afternoon.
4:55 Musselburgh – Forever A Lady (11/2)
I reported on this horses’ last race and she ran a stormer to finish third in a strong fillies’ race. She wasn’t beaten too far, and the two horses that beat her have won since. She is on a fine mark, and should get optimum conditions this afternoon. She’s won over the ground and trip.
