After two winners from three yesterday, Tippin’ Jimmy gives
us his best bets from Tuesday’s card.
2:00 Leicester - Bold Reason (5/2)
John Gosden and Robert Havlin team up with Bold Reason, and
expensively bought prospect who is searching to break his maiden on the third
attempt. He finished a respectable fourth on debut, to then step up and finish
at Haydock. The heavy ground may have gone against him that day, and he won’t
have to do much more to be winning here.
4:20 Huntingdon - Wicked Willy (9/2)
Wicked Willy should be a horse that looks to be one
desperate to jump a fence. His hurdle form is consistent finishing third on his
previous three starts. Last year he was at his best in the winter, and he
should like the conditions having won at this track on his only visit. He is
likely to improve off this chasing mark, and he can make a winning start over
fences today.
4:50 Huntingdon - Audacious Plan (11/10)
Audacious Plan looks my best bet of the day. He finished a
very good second at Uttoxeter last month, and off the same mark he can go very
well again. I believe there are a few more wins to come to him, and he looks a
handicapper on the up for Richard Newland. The conditions are absolutely in his
favour, he should go well.
5:20 Huntingdon - Frozen Flame (6/1)
Jonjo O’Neill’s yard have started the year rather well, and
his team could have another nice horse in the making with Frozen Flame. He lost
on his only ever start in point-to-point company, when beaten by half-a-length,
and the horse that beat him has since been bought by Gigginstown. He may have
been a bit green that day, and there should be plenty more to come from him.
