Tuesday's Best Bet: Alpine can climb high

Tippin' Jimmy's #TheOne won for a third time yesterday, he hopes to complete a hat-trick in Bangor today.

12:55 Bangor - Dostal Phil (5/6)
JP McManus has such a good team this season, and there's no reason why this one can't be up there as the best. He has only had one career start, but he won his French bumper in very good style indicating he had the potential to be a very smart horse. He cost just under £300,000 and can start to repay that expensive cost with a Welsh win here.

2:30 Bangor - Alpine Secret (10/3)
Ben Pauling's yard are in great form, and expectations will be high this novice can break his chasing debut this afternoon. He was a decent hurdler, but always one to improve going over a fence. On his first start he was pulled-up but hated the heavy ground, and returning to good ground will suit him much better. Although his defeat was disappointing the handicapper has dropped him a lot, and he can utilise that mark this afternoon.

2:50 Chepstow - Wylde Magic (11/8)
Evan Williams' nice six-year-old makes his seasonal bow at Chepstow, having capped off last season with a promising Grade Three third at Sandown. He wasn't totally at his best that day, and he lost out to stable rival Prime Venture in second. Adam Wedge chose this horse, probably expecting a better performance that day. He comes here fresh, only 2lb higher and capable of better things.

5:40 Wolverhampton - Jellmood (11/10)
Marco Bott's two-year-old seems to have done everything but win in four starts this season. He lost out by a head at Ascot, before filling the same role at Yarmouth a month later. The two horses he lost to have gone on to do better things, so that form stacks up very highly. He pulled-up last time and has had a break since that listed run, he should be able to take this.
