Tippin’ Jimmy talks us through his three best bets to start
your week off with.
1:00 Wolverhampton – Deauville Dancer (9/1)
Marcus Tregoning’s juvenile has a very nice American
pedigree and should relish the switch to the all-weather. He finished sixth on
his debut at Windsor, but started very slowly that day and should improve from
the experience. He has a nice profile and should be winning races this season.
1:10 Plumpton - Tikkanbar (11/8)
Neil Mullholland’s six-year-old enjoyed three wins at bumper
level last season and looked like a very good prospect for the yard, but
finished unplaced when stepped up to graded level at Aintree last time out.
Hurdling may bring out more improvement and the reports from home indicate he
has been working well at home. He should go very well today.
2:40 Plumpton – Chef D’Equipe (2/1)
Phillip Hobbs’ expensive French buy made an encouraging
start over hurdles, and has the profile to improve off this mark of 122. He
finished an encouraging third on his British debut, but has always improved for
the run. He should win a few races before going chasing, and could be worth
following in his next few starts.
