Tippin' Jimmy enjoyed an excellent day yesterday and can finish your weekend with even more winners.
12:45 Sandown - Bastien (4/1)
Alan King is quite keen on Bastien who opens the card at Sandown this afternoon. He won two times as a novice last season, before finishing a respectable third at Market Rasen. He makes his first start since February and is reported to be showing all the right signs at home. Off this mark he should be winning very soon.
1:10 Navan - Mengli Khan (6/4)
Gordon Elliott thinks highly of Mengli Khan who saw off 29 rivals when winning at this venue a few months ago. He has got the quality to cut it at Graded level and although this is a step up he can run another big race.
1:20 Sandown - Baden (15/2)
It's a big day for Nicky Henderson's team with Might Bite returning, and this is one who could be an excellent novice chaser for Seven Barrows. He posted plenty of mixed form over hurdles last season, with a win at Wetherby and a fifth place finish at Punchestown on his last start. He should improve a lot now over fences and could go very well.
2:45 Navan - Footpad (4/6)
This top level hurdler should have way too much to go and win on his chasing debut this afternoon. The reports indicate he has been schooling well and that Willie Mullins' team are expecting a victory this afternoon.
2:55 Sandown - Most Celebrated (20/1) ew
Neil Mulholland's four-year-old absolutely loves running fresh, and he could have a serious chance at a big price this afternoon. They are thinking about the Greatwood Hurdle with him so they must need a good performance to bump him up the ratings. With ideal conditions and connections making some ambitious plans he could run a big race.
3:05 Ffos Las - Lovenormoney (8/1)
Warren Greatrex made it clear to me that this horse has improved a considerable amount over the summer and with that in mind could wave goodbye to his current handicap mark. He posted some good efforts last season. He should be able to cap off hurdling in style here.
3:30 Sandown - Double Ross (5/2)
I spoke to Nigel Twiston-Davies and he was extremely keen on this horses' chances this afternoon. The 11-year-old finished fourth at Chepstow on his seasonal bow, but things didn't go to plan for him that day and he should run a lot better here.
