Tippin' Jimmy talks us through his five best fancies from Wednesday's races.
12:30 Ayr - Buffalo Ballet (13/2)
Nicky Alexander's veteran looks like he has some unfinished business over fences. He hasn't won in five starts but was unlucky to lose when second last time. He was beaten by a fitter horse and should come on an awful lot for that run. I am expecting a big run off this current mark.
1:50 Fairyhouse - Blow By Blow (8/11)
Gordon Elliott missed out on all of last season with this hugely exciting bumper horse. He's won his last three races, including Punchestown's Grade One bumper in April 2016. He hasn't been seen since that win over the likes of Moon Racer and Bacardys, but should be an exciting prospect to follow this year.
2:20 Bangor - If The Cap Fits (4/6)
I am such a big fan of this horse and I really think he just can go right to the very top for Harry Fry. His two wins in bumper company follow a very respectable Grade Two fourth. He made a fantastic start to hurdling, and I think he may have needed the run. He should act on the conditions and can begin his rise to the top of the hurdling ranks.
2:30 Exeter - Wotzizname (9/2)
Harry Fry could have a very good ten minutes if both of these strike. This unexposed seven-year-old made a very promising return when second at this venue a month ago. He needed the run that day, when beaten by another horse I like a lot Coastal Tiep. He should improve, and with a 4lb drop from the handicapper he can run really well.
3:35 Exeter - Timeforben (8/1)
David Pipe's exciting mare Timeforben made a great racecourse debut 33 days ago and looks like the type that will improve a significant amount for it. She was third at Newton Abbot, but this former point-to-point winner may just come on for it and could be up to striking on her hurdling debut against the girls.
4:05 Exeter - White Moon (2/1)
Colin Tizzard has some very good horses in his yard, and this is one of them. He proved his class when winning on his racecourse debut at Wincanton last time out, where he cleared a decent field in very impressive style. There should be more to come from this former pointer.
