Friday's Best Bets: Mullins ace set to serve up a win

Tippin' Jimmy extended his form with a 14-1 winner yesterday, can he claim more glory with four tips today.

2:15 Chester - Spud (4/9)
Although not the best of prices I fully expect Spud to make a winning debut this afternoon. Tom Dascombe's well-bred juvenile finished a close second at this track on debut, losing out narrowly to a good horse in Mutakatif. He can go one better today.

3:10 Sandown - Sharja Bridge (13/8)
A gradually improving three-year-old for Roger Varian is Sharja Bridge, who should be up to winning this competitive handicap. He was an impressive maiden winner last time out, and looked like a potential group horse in the making in his four length victory at Nottingham. The likes of Almoreb, Sir Roderic and Angel Down set a high standard but he should be too good.

5:30 Salisbury - Twilight Spirit (11/2)
Falling down the handicap is Twilight Spirit for Tony Carroll, and I think this horse is more than capable of winning a few races before the end of the season. She finished a decent fourth last time out, and should benefit from this short drop in trip and today's soft ground. She certainly has a win in her!

5:50 Listowel - Koroleva (6/5) NAP
Willie Mullins is a master when it comes to getting the best out of his mares, and he could be set to give Koroleva a winning start here. The six-year-old made a very promising debut when losing by only a neck at Killarney. She should go one better today.
