Saturday's Best Bets: Winners are Under Control on St Leger day

Tippin' Jimmy has five strong fancies from Saturday's racing.

2:40 Chester - Duretto (7/4)
Andrew Balding has told me he thinks this horse is classy, and if so he should be winning this. He was a Group Three winner in his final start of last season, and made a promising reappearance over this track back in May. Across The Stars is a danger!

2:55 Musselburgh - Dysons Girl (13/2)
I know this horse has a pretty strong little following, and her syndicate are expecting her to win pretty soon. I think today could be the day. She has been running strongly, but just not seeing off her races and there should be one in her. The cheekpieces will help and I expect a bold effort from her!

4:40 Musselburgh - Under Control (15/8)

William Haggas' three-year-old looked like a real classy act when winning two competitive races last year, and that ability should be enough today. He finished third in a good handicap on his reappearance and should improve a lot for the run. This isn't as competitive and he can record a third career win.

5:10 Listowel - Rathvinden (4/6)
Rathvinden is a novice with a very bright future for Willie Mullins. A former Supreme third, he came back from a years absence to win two races both in impressive style. He didn't run his best race last time out, but should be much better for me.

5:55 Doncaster - Game Starter (21/20)
I haven't touched Doncaster today as the card looks very tricky, but I do like this horse a lot. He really impressed me when winning at Newmarket last time out, and looks better than a handicapper.

Lucky 15 (Rathvinden/Under Control/ Dysons Girl/ Duretto)
