Monday's Best Bets: Poet to Power home in Ireland

Tippin' Jimmy has a trio of fancies from Monday's card.

4:30 Listowel - Poet Power NAP (13/8)
As ever Ruby Walsh and Willie Mullins are a formidable duo, and they should be smiling after Poet Power runs at Listowel. He was a very impressive bumper winner at Galway on debut, and that form is boosted by the second winning since. On his first attempt over hurdles he finished a decent third. Expect a much better run in this.

4:45 Newton Abbot - Hongkong Adventure (5/2)
There should be plenty more to come from this very nice four-year-old for Olly Murphy. He has been a tad disappointing in three starts this season, finishing fifth on each occasion. He travelled very well when last seen at Southwell but just didn't get home. This track will be much better for him, and as will the conditions. A 10lb claimer is pretty handy too.

5:05 Perth - Boris Grishenko (Evs)
An improving Gordon Elliott prospect in Boris Grishenko should be able to strike in Perth's finale. He improved from his debut fifth to finish second at Down Patrick last time out, losing out to a decent Dermot Weld newcomer. He should improve even more for that, and could strike in this good contest. Buy Mistake is the main danger, but carries a penalty.
