Thursday's Best Bets: Bradfield set to be Magic at Chelmsford

Tippin' Jimmy enjoyed three wins from four yesterday, and gives us his best bets for Thursday.

2:00 Haydock - Fibonacci (10/11)
Hugo Palmer told me a long time ago how fond he was of this horse, and how it could be one of his dark horses of the season. If correct, he certainly should be up to winning at maiden level. He was narrowly beaten by a good horse in The Grand Visir on his penultimate start, but was rather poor when fifth last time out. He should win this one comfortably.

3:20 Salisbury - Final Set (7/2)
Ryan Moore and Sir Michael Stoute team up with a decent looking juvenile in Final Set. The daughter of Dark Angel enjoyed a decent debut, when fifth at Kempton and did look quite green in the race. She started poorly, and that blew her chances too. A much better run will be expected.

5:55 Clonmel - Hardback (3/1)
This is a horse that could be very good, but has only started twice and there are still questions to be asked. On his pointing debut, he looked all set to win against some good sorts but lost his rider at the last. Whilst at Sligo he won very well after almost two years off the track, he should improve a lot and could be an exceptional horse in the making.

7:10 Chelmsford - Bradfield Magic (2/1)
My strongest fancy on the day has to be Bradfield Magic for Charlie Hills. This is a consistent filly, who I think has a race in here before too long. She has run creditably in her last two efforts and only been raised 2lb for that effort. She will be winning a race soon, I expect that to be today.
