Tuesday's Best Bets: Redgrave can steer you to glory

After a superb day yesterday with a 14-1 winner and a 75% strike rate, Tippin’ Jimmy gives his red hot tips for Tuesday’s racing.

3:15 Chepstow – Redgrave (3/1) NAP
A horse that I really think could be up to winning off a mark of 80 is Charlie Hills’ Redgrave. He ran a good race when second at this track, behind a good prospect in Rigoletto and has been dropped 2lb. He’s run well on most ground, and if he can improve a little he should be up to winning this weaker contest.

4:20 Chepstow – Sable Island (4/1)
Sir Michael Stoute is a top trainer in getting gradual improvement out of horses, and a prime example is Sable Island. He’s taken a while to progress but after a promising Salisbury third, he broke his maiden in a classy Chester victory. He won very easily that day and has only been raised 2lb for that effort. I expect a big run to come.

4:45 Yarmouth – Blazed (3/1)
Blazed makes his handicap debut for Roger Charlton this afternoon, and on the form of his penultimate run he should be right there. He ran strongly against some improvers, and the form of his Salisbury second has worked out strongly. Last time out he was only fifth at Doncaster, where the ground may have been too quick for him. Today’s soft ground, and handy mark should give him a bold chance.

5:10 Galway – Kozy (14/1) ew
Kozy is a horse that should be winning before too long. John Oxx is a master when it comes to middle distance horses and he should bring out improvement in this three-year-old. He was a credible second at Tramore, before finishing eighth in a handicap. He didn’t have the best luck in running there, and has been given a 2lb drop. In this open contest, he should have a strong each-way chance.
