Monday's Best Bets: Captain Ryan to sail to victory

Tippin' Jimmy had four winners out of four this time last week, can he do it all again this time around?

2:10 Bath - Haylah (5/4)
Richard Hannon has had quite a good season with his juveniles, and Haylah can make a winning start to her career at Bath today. She finished an encouraging fifth at Newbury, and was too keen in the early stages. She was bought by a good team and cost a lot so expectations must be pretty high. She is up to winning at this level, hopefully she can settle better and improve for the run.

3:30 Stratford - Ckalco Des Loges (7/2)
This horse looks like a big improver for Dan Skelton and should go well here. He won well on his seasonal bow, and has taken to hurdling well. There looks like there is a lot more to come, and he has a bold chance.

5:10 Bath - Captain Ryan (7/2)
Geoffrey Deacon's Captain Ryan absolutely loves Bath, having won five times at this venue. He is in good for this season finishing inside the first three without winning on several occasions. Last time out he was very poor when only seventh at Goodwood and looks to have been freshened up from that run. He has been dropped a 1lb from the handicapper and that now puts him on a very good mark. A return to this track is a big positive and he should run well.
