Tuesday's Best Bets: Blakeney on Point for Leicester double

Tippin’ Jimmy has four tips from Tuesday’s racing.

2:25 Galway – Poli Roi
A very strong horse for this season, and at this price is a total steal. He is one of the best novice hurdling prospect in training this season, and I can’t wait to see how he gets on over hurdles. He won tidily on his first two starts before finishing third in a Grade One contest last time out. He will be better over obstacles and I expect him to be hard to beat.

2:35 Catterick – Ventura Knight
Ventura Knight ran very well carrying top weight on this mark only last month, and has to be fancied to winning off this mark before too long. Mark Johnston’s juvenile has won three times this season and remains on 93 after a third-place finish at Doncaster. He has a win or two in him before the end of the season, I hope one of them is today.

3:55 Leicester – Blakeney Point
Roger Charlton must have plenty of confidence in Blakeney Point today, who won very well at Newburt 18 days ago. The form has been boosted with the second since winning a Group Three. He has only been raised 3lb and should be able to run a big race once again at Leicester this afternoon.

9:00 Newcastle – Zamjar

An inconsistent runner this season who may just peak this afternoon is Zamjar for Ed Dunlop. He has been continually dropping down the handicap, but made an eye catching performance on this mark last month. He wasn’t beaten too far when fifth, but was unlucky when finding traffic and could’ve won with a clearer path. He should go close with a clearer passage.
