Tippin' Jimmy gives us a huge run down from Thursday's racecard,
12:45 Lingfield - Il Primo Sole (8/13)
John Gosden must have put this one right at the top of the pecking order after his smooth maiden success at Yarmouth, where he easily defeated some smartly-bred horses to strike by four-and-a-half lengths. He was beaten at Sandown last time out, but he can return to winning ways this afternoon.
1:00 Sedgefield - Volt Face (13/8)
I really liked the way Volt Face ran at Kempton last month when a narrow loser, on his first start since April. He stays on this same mark and must have a massive chance of following up for Charlie Longsdon. The track and trip should suit fine, hopefully he won't be caught out. Crackdesloust is a big danger, as he may be a good chaser this season.
1:25 Clonmel - Sympa Des Flos (4/5)
Again I am guilty of fancying a few odds-on shots, but I think this one has a massive chance. Willie Mullins' five-year-old was defeated on his stable debut for the yard at Downpatrick a fortnight ago, but may have needed that run. He lost out to a fitter horse on the day, he should have the class to prevail today.
1:30 Sedgefield - Court Liability (7/4)
Harry Whittington's four-year-old has only raced once in rules company, and did it rather well when a narrow winner at Fontwell earlier this month. He beat an experienced favourite and battled hard for the win, but hurdling is always going to be his aim. The step up in trip, and experience over an obstacle should see the best in him, he could be a fine staying hurdler.
1:40 Stratford - Good Man Pat (4/5) #TheOne
Alan King's Good Man Pat has proved himself as a very nice prospect in the making in three runs, and was an unlucky loser at Exeter last time out. He made his first start since easily winning a point-to-point in May down in Devon, where he was a bit green but still only lost out by half-a-length. He will improve significantly for that experience, and I expect a much better showing this afternoon.

Mercian Prince is well regarded in Amy Murphy's yard, and runs at Stratford this afternoon
2:45 Stratford - Mercian Prince (11/2)
Amy Murphy has quickly established her name in the trainers ranks, and Merican Prince certainly looks the type that can take her to the big meetings this season. He has been off the track for some time. But he won well in a similar race at Sandown back in January, before falling when travelling really strongly at Cheltenham on trials day. His final two runs were a bit disappointing, but he should be even better this season.
3:00 Clonmel - Shattered Love (8/15)
A very smart mare in the making is Gordon Elliott's Shattered Love, who won easily on her chasing debut at Fairyhouse. Considering she won that race so easily, and the potential she has, this odds-on price is quite appealing. If she jumps well, she wins; this price is well worth it.
3:10 Sedgefield - Audacious Plan (11/4)
Audacious Plan was a really encouraging, and tipped, winner last time out for Dr Richard Newland at Huntingdon and deserves his place in the Durham National today. He won pretty easily and the 10lb rise from the handicapper is only fair. He should still have some improvement, although whether he stays this trip is questionable.
